Away from home to Phuket 2

So Day 2 is whole day of activities under the sun.

Got up as early as 6.30am for our snorkeling trip, guess i'm still half asleep while on the bus until i got on the speedboat.

Zoom zoom to Raya island.

The ride is about fifteen minutes while we admire the greenery and splashing of big waves behind us.

The seawater is god damn SALTY but we still caught sight of fishes. Real huge one!

Apparently the seawater kept entering my gear; either gushing up my nose or blurring my vision, eventually i give up, haha.

PARA-GLIDING, next!

It's damn fun! Initially i kinda freak out when i saw how high it actually was, and i thought i will back out, however it turn out quite cool in the end.

Somemore tanning after that & soon it's lunch!

Headed to Coral island for the 2nd half snorkeling session. Didn't manage to snorkel much due to the equipment, but the water is so clear that you can actually see the fishes from the surface.

On the speedboat again to Patong beach, and after under the blasting sun for only 1/2 an hr, we got BURNT!

And before we realise, it's time to head back to Kamala beach.

Washed up & hitch on a cab to Patong Town.

It's freaking crowded with tourist & of course locals selling all sort of stuff; but as compared to Phuket Town, things are slightly more expensive.

The pizza over there is pretty good though, yum!

Hours of shopping & bargaining, we took a tuk-tuk back to the resort.

Another night of jacuzzi /beers/ face mask before totally flat on the bed, Zzzzzzzz

As promised post:

On board on Tiger Airway to Phuket as early as 0800hrs flight (gotta wake up at 6am, DAYBREAK!) for the trip we longed anticipated. I guess i barely catch any sleep the night before cause we're still doing our last-min packing & throwing unnecessary stuff out; but i bet this is the only time that excites us more than sleeping.

The flight was only an hour & ta-dah: PHUKET!

We arrived way earlier & thus unable to check-in the resort, so took a cab to Phuket Town for some shopping. Dean (taxi-driver) drove us around during our stay in Phuket, nice guy ;), moreover, he charge a better rate than most cab & you can call him anytime, anywhere.

And YES, transportation in Phuket is EXPENSIVE, guess each trip is equivalent to SGD $20. Meter-charging cab is only available at the airport (cheaper ones) and most are local cab or tuktuk running in town, whereby they charged by per trip; they are also known as the Taxi Mafia.

Phuket Town isn't a huge mall, but they do have supermarkets & Robinsons (always seen in malls in Phuket). Beer (SGD $2) and liquors (SGD $45 onwards) is duper cheap over there and we got plenty to store in our room. The variety of liquors is more than we have in SG btw.

Outside of the mall are street sellers all along the road side; there's a PINK Theme hair salon, car mechanical shop, Converse but mostly aunties selling cheap tee, flops & sunhat. Most are repeated items, all depending on your bargaining skills which R is super good at being a "poor student", hahaha.

Dean came to pick us up after our lunch to get us to our resort at Kamala Beach, another 20mins ride. Nothing above 4 storey buildings (besides the malls & hotels) can be seen in Phuket.

According to Dean, the Phuket government prohibited building of factories and skyscrapers unless it has been built since 40 years ago. We still get to see the familiar signs like Esso, Shell and even AIA but mainly are houses & people selling food by the street.

View from Cape Sienna totally took our breath away when we first caught sight of it. The lobby faces the sea and nothing else in sight. Immediately, it calms your soul, oh, and definitely the hot weather (35 degree can be a killer). Services of the staff makes you feel welcome & we even get to choose the aroma smell for the room (which they lit everyday before you sleep).

Seaview from the balcony with an outdoor jacuzzi, nothing else should occupy your mind other than feeling ethereal.

Had a quick bath & head off to Kamala beach for a short tan before the sun set.

Unlike Patong, Kamala beach is less bustling as compared. That explains why we fell into our sleep after resting on the beach chair with the sun gradually moving down the horizon.

Still in our sticky coveralls, dined at a restaurant while a huge rain starts to fall.

That ends off our day 1 after heading back for jacuzzi & beer ;)

Much more difficult that i thought, just freaking can't achieve a good proportion drawing between the shoulders and the hip. That poor fellow just look freaking masculine on the paper despite the gender is suppose to be a FEMALE, gawd!

But phew, i manage to get some template of model drawings, definitely saved my day.

Random,

we were, very, indeed.

so we were talking over the phone the night before, discussing how we should spend the last day of the long weekends & tadah, we came by this duper random idea to have a picnic.

guess it excites no one better that R (he's been nagging me to do so ages ago).

and so i woke up at 11am after much eluctation to get my hard-boiled eggs done & to microwave the very few pathetic pieces of seaweeds chicken remained in the freezer. mocked by my mom for being ambitious to go ahead with a picnic without her aid & purely based on my cooking skills (in this case, it's pretty minimum)

anyway, we go ahead with it & what a splendid way to spend a Monday to drive those Monday blues away.

Side note: I've still yet to list down my 2010 resolution through it's already the 7th day of a brand new year, anyhows, there's lot more to be achieve & *fingers crossed*, a even better year ahead ;)

Right, good festive comes & goes fast.

X'mas no more!

high adrenaline took us upon a potluck mission at Rasa Sentosa on the eve of X'mas,

it's was fun to see everyone in enthusiasm to fix something to have our very own feast.

we have like home-made turkey with hula girl chocolate cookie guarding the stuffing hole, super mashy potato salad, been hoon with ultimate spicy chili sauce, most-safe-to-eat fried rice, the-one-that-saved-everyone sushi, cold mac chicken nugget & the sweetest champagne (*ahem, my contribution)

but of course, the best of all is where everyone comes together to celebrate this holiday.

how does a situation improves & turns out better by just juggling the words and inter-phrasing it? didn't you realize, what actually matters is how can you let such a thing happen?

after having all these happened a year back, you just freaking still don't get it & thinks there's still somehow an explanation to your action, an action that is intolerable & unacceptable in a relationship.

to a point that, you make me no way to put any good words (and i so regretted for helping you out at that point of time) to help you in this situations cause honestly, you don't deserve any aids, you deserve this outcome. of course, i'm of not all saint to say that i always did the right choice all the time but at least, i acknowledge my mistakes & learn from it, but somehow it seems otherwise to you. you just don't seems to get it, nope, you don't get it at all, not the least bit.

What a bad time to fall sick,

am so looking forward to this weekend as i've applied leaves to totally rest & chill out due to the continuous work drilling me for the past weeks, months, to be correct.

and now, i'm down with a bad throat & occasional fever that comes & goes. temperamental, and that's explains the mood i've been in.

at least i get my hair done, yup, the usual volume seems to have lose it all after the rebonding. trying to wash my hair as often as possible to regain back the usual look, you know, loose curls looks fabulous. on a brighten note, i need not spend time on the straightening tongs to curb those annoying baby hair of mine now ;)

hopefully sick bug will be gone soon, been anticipating for a good tan after like, 1/2 yr ago?

And so, the 3 days of weekend just flew pass in a snap of the fingers.
Have been awaiting this week for hell-you-don't-know how long but when thurs work ends, you pretty not sure how and where should you start enjoying this long weekend.

It's been a brain-cracking and juice squeezing for that 3 days thinking & pondering where should we actually go to totally let loose & spend the bestest out of the best cause long weekends don't just come by as often (i know, a lie, cause dec end will be another 2 wks of it, weehooo).
We had Carls Jr' for dinner, but no more portobello mushrooms burger. time for a change & the outcome is as good. who serves better burger than C Jr'.
Headed to 2am for desert, it's been a long time since we crash there. but still, it never fails us with their new specialties & what's more, it's always a place that i love to go with R ;)
Am suppose to check out I-Love-Musemum but thanks to sleepyhead me, it will be closed by the time we get that. checked out from their webby and seems to have stuffs going on; prolly it shall be our plan for next weekend.

But i would say, the best is nothing but just lie in the bed, watching a comedy serial show (How I Met Your Mother is hell funnyyy), finds a comfy spot & fall asleep with your lover boy just right next to you, tugging your arms through his ;)

Weather has been freaking cold these days, put on my polar bear suit from R. a duper cozy fleece hoodies that he got me, sweet.

catch 2012, 2 & 1/2hrs has been skyscrapers falling apart, meteor fireballs falling from the sky and humans screaming and running for their lives. pretty a good show just like The Day After Tomorrow.

Had a good rest during the weekends, did some shopping (finally got my casual/formal blazer to pair off with my short dresses), movies, food, R's spaghetti, a little champagne - what else spells a good weekend ;))

I know, have long abandon this space to do my usual updating,
and then there's a sudden urge and this is how this post come about.

This Saturday has been different than usual,
R's stuck in camp for stay-in duty, he'll only be back home by next morning.
lousy tv channel, constraint timing for internet access and the bed, guess it won't be a good sat night ;(

I've yet to come up with my designs! it has been dragged for so long, prolly i should do something about it soon else the upcoming months at work will be more hectic. i would say it's a good experience to come in touch with more project development though the daily work has been delayed and piled up but i guess limited time drives you to work more efficiently.

Was just about to sit down & concentrate,
baby told me about sales at ASOS, damn.
and i've still got some books to be finished.
if only i can be more determine like how i always regulate myself with face mask per week.

Rock phuture's dance floor last night,

It's finally the weekend, totally ignored the alarm & slept till 3pm. nothing spells shiokness than the long hours of sleep. i so need to replenish my beauty sleep please, those hardwork at GE, my god, it's insane, can't imagine myself doing them again when monday comes, god bless me.

did some online shopping, cute demin shorts & sweetheart pink tankie, sweet ;)
am waiting for lee qiqi to get stuff together from Victoria Secret, guess that high waist black skirt is no long available, it's only left with cheetah print, abit too loud but definitely a smacking piece to hit the club, comtemplating.
shall get some cute pink & sunshine yellow bikini too, prolly the right size this time round, that lilac bikini from VS previously is still rotting in my wardrobe. if only bikini can be alter like how i normally altered my dresses/blouses.
prolly a makeup pouch also, my anna sui is giving way, too much to be packed in there & pretty dirty already.
definitely getting the hoodie/cardi/tank top, most pieces are on sales & the color is so sweet, pink pink wink.
oh gawd, seeing myself spending at least 100 bucks at VS but i know it's definitely worth it ;)

Fiona just called to complain to me about this particular blogshop taking it own sweet time to transfer back her the money as the item she wanted is out of stock. apparently i've helped to called that person since wednesday & she said she's going to refund the next day, so understanding we gave her the deadline till thursday despite the fact that she didn't reply any email pertaining the refund that she supposed to and apparently mia. And then she dragged the payment again till friday & as expected, no refund was done. pretty ridiculous huh, and she only did so on saturday. too bad for being so irresponsible, you gotta some lecturing from me. guess the owner of the blogshop is still far from being able to achieve the establishment of good relationship & understanding with her customer that directly affect the business of her blogshop.

CNY is over,
so much sooner than i thought, like freaking 4 days just va-va-boom, it's gone. not too much hongbao perhaps due to the bad economy, lost during my gambles which makes my hongbao money even more pathetic. hahaha, oh well, it's okay, just think that each time a hongbao landed on my hand, it's just like another blessing from the elders, wanting me to grow up, be happy, stay pretty/become prettier and be wise with choices.

literally forgot to indicate my unit number to the LJ blogshop when i purchased something online & they freaking didn't notice my unit number was missed out and mail them out!!!!

no wonder i didn't get my parcel and it has been almost 2 weeks long.
been thinking it could be due to the peak season of singpost & thus trying to be understanding about the long duration of the delivery of my parcel.
apparently, it should be in my mailbox ages ago but due to my careless it seems like it's not going to be in my mailbox any sooner or perhaps never.
and i only realise my mistake today, so i could only pray that singpost bounce back the parcel to the LJ shop & hopefully they will mail it out to me again or else, i'm so gonna waste my money!!!

totally a headache. i could still remember how i used to look forward to new year when i was young but now, sadly, ain't that excited about it anymore. perhaps bah kua and steamboat really gets me turn on to the mood. of course, ang bao! a must boy!

almost forgot, need a new shoes too thou i just bought a few recently. guess prolly a heel so i can use for work & clubbing also.
maybe some shimmering eye makeup and i got this crazy idea to have my virgin try on fake eyelashes for new year thou people are telling me my current one looks fake enuff. god, they are my real lashes.

gotta get my watch (thanks A, really like the design) strap switched to leather. chronograph watch, my love ;)

oh ya, also a visit to my skin doctor for my face product. thou my complexion has greatly improved, i still see some left behind pimple marks, gotta get rid all of it. a must to get back those flawless complexion & i shall vow to not be lazy and be consistently using the product.

So celebrated A's belated birthday at cheesecake cafe that day. was in town enjoying our sushi previously and now CHEESECAKE. so so full man.

But still, there's always room for desert especially it's cheesecake with hot chocolate. superb. yum yum. hope you like the mini surprise. happy 22 alright ;)

Seriously, there ain't much of a choice since Zouk would be freaking crowded on New Year Eve and later did i heard that tickets were sold out at freaking 9pm. my gawd, so prolly i got to head down to get the tickets at 7pm, way too crazy, no way.

So we made do with what we have and countdown-ed at St James. poor choo was caught in the jam, so she did her countdown with the cab uncle. totally can understand the sian-ness of that. finally she reached and we party so hard thou the songs kinda sucks. way too remix, like prolly 4 songs remix-ed to one. well, it's okay at least i spent this special day with my beloved Karin & Zuoxin. you guys rock my smelly socks. hahaha ;)
